Amynta Group Launches Oryx Healthcare

In a strategic move to strengthen its presence in the healthcare insurance sector, Amynta Group has officially merged its underwriting operations, Oryx Insurance Brokerage and Total Program Management (TPM), into a unified platform named Oryx Healthcare.

The newly formed Oryx Healthcare aims to deliver comprehensive underwriting solutions. This will be specifically tailored to meet the needs of brokers and agents serving the middle-market healthcare sector. At the same time, the integration will help reinforce Amynta’s footprint in adjacent industries such as construction and manufacturing.

By consolidating its capabilities, Oryx Healthcare will now offer a streamlined portfolio of risk management services for a wide range of healthcare organizations. These include allied health providers, senior care services, social services, and long-term care facilities.

Tom Pasquale will remain as President and CEO of Oryx, while Kevin Mordarski will step into the role of Practice Leader for the Oryx Healthcare division. Together, they will lead the newly integrated unit into its next phase of growth.

Bob Schultz, Head of Insurance Programs at Amynta Group, commented on the significance of this move:

“This combination brings together TPM’s longstanding healthcare expertise with the deep product and underwriting depth of Oryx, positioning the Company to provide innovative insurance solutions that address the unique needs of the healthcare market.
>
We have an outstanding team that will continue to deliver best-in-class service and even greater solutions to our agents and brokers.”

A Broader Strategy for Global Expansion

The launch of Oryx Healthcare aligns with Amynta’s ongoing strategy to scale its risk solutions business globally. In December 2024, the group made headlines by acquiring the credit division of Crum & Forster, a subsidiary of Fairfax Financial Holdings. That division now functions as a managing general underwriter (MGU) under the Amynta Risk Solutions umbrella.

Today, Amynta Group manages more than $3.5 billion in premiums. They operate across North America, Europe, and Australia, offering a wide range of insurance and warranty solutions. You can achieve this through its network of MGUs and third-party administrators.

A Centralized Approach to Healthcare Risk

With the launch of Oryx Healthcare, Amynta Group is creating a centralized hub for healthcare insurance and risk management services. This approach not only streamlines underwriting for its broker partners but also enhances efficiency, transparency, and speed in placing coverage for specialized healthcare risks.

For agents and brokers operating in the evolving healthcare space, this unified solution means access to more targeted products, supported by a team with deep industry knowledge.

With enhanced capabilities, industry expertise, and a focus on innovation, the company is well-positioned to meet the diverse insurance needs of healthcare providers across the U.S. and beyond.
