Axis Insurance Managers has officially welcomed JT Insurance Services (Canada) into its growing family, further reinforcing its position in Canada’s competitive commercial insurance market, especially in the real estate, construction, and high-net-worth segments. While the financial terms of the transaction remain undisclosed, the strategic impact is clear.
Founded in 1969 and headquartered in British Columbia, JT Insurance brings decades of experience and a strong client base. With this move, it will now operate under Axis Insurance’s newly formed Commercial Insurance Practice Group, expanding the firm’s niche expertise and service capacity.
Notably, James and Sheri Clay, the current owners of JT Insurance, will remain in leadership roles to ensure a seamless transition and consistent service for existing clients.
Axis Insurance emphasized that the acquisition supports its national growth strategy, which focuses on scaling sector-specific capabilities through a blend of organic growth and smart acquisitions. Importantly, this deal strengthens Axis’s presence in Western Canada—a key target in its broader expansion roadmap.
